Job Description
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with the company's objective.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing procurement team, setting clear performance metrics and assessing team effectiveness regularly.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or patient care, applying best practices and innovative solutions to improve procurement processes.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards, while implementing risk mitigation strategies and exploring advanced procurement technologies.
- Work closely with department heads and cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organisational goals and objectives.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in procurement management within the engineering/B2B sector, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices is preferred.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and e-sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Oracle, SAP).
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence key internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
