As part of its ongoing portfolio review and long-term growth strategy, the Group is strengthening its investor relations function and corporate development capabilities, including M&A evaluation and strategic initiatives.
Role Overview
The Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Strategy is responsible for managing all investor relations activities for the Group while supporting corporate strategy, including mergers & acquisitions, divestments, and other strategic initiatives.
Role sits close to Group Strategy/CEO office, focusing on investor engagement, analyst coverage, capital markets comms, and supporting overall share price narrative.
Key Responsibilities
1) Investor Relations
- Act as the primary contact for institutional investors, analysts, fund managers, and investment banks
- Manage all investor communication including quarterly results announcements, annual reports, and ad-hoc disclosures
- Prepare investor presentation materials, earnings decks, and briefing notes for management
- Organize analyst briefings, investor meetings, roadshows, and AGM/EGM support
- Monitor share price performance, trading activity, and shareholder movements
- Track analyst coverage and market consensus; consolidate insights for management
- Review peer company performance and provide comparative analysis
- Support updates and maintenance of the investor relations section of the corporate website
- Provide feedback to management on investor sentiment and market expectations
2) Corporate Strategy / M&A Support
- Support evaluation of acquisition, divestment, and restructuring opportunities
- Conduct financial and strategic analysis on potential targets and business expansion opportunities
- Build and maintain financial models for investment evaluation and valuation purposes
- Assist in due diligence coordination with internal teams and external advisors
- Support preparation of investment papers and Board-level proposals
- Assist in execution of approved corporate exercises including M&A and restructuring initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and identify potential strategic opportunities aligned with Group direction
3) Regulatory & Listing Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements for announcements and disclosures
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely release of financial results and corporate announcements
- Support preparation of materials for Board and Audit Committee reporting where required
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA) or MBA is an advantage
- 8–12+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Investment Banking, or Corporate Strategy
- Strong understanding of Bursa Malaysia listing requirements and public company reporting
- Experience in financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for investor-facing materials
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
