Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead and perform detailed credit assessments for large corporate and institutional borrowers, including complex structured financing, syndicated facilities, and project finance transactions.
  2. Evaluate financial performance, business models, and industry dynamics to formulate sound credit recommendations that balance business growth objectives with prudent risk management.
  3. Ensure all credit evaluations comply with the Bank's credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory standards, while maintaining high standards of analytical integrity and consistency.
  4. Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Business Units to identify, evaluate, and mitigate emerging risks across portfolios. Provide strategic input on deal structuring, security enhancement, and covenant formulation.
  5. Mentor and guide junior analysts and managers to strengthen the department's overall analytical capabilities and quality of submissions.
  6. Contribute to ongoing development of credit risk frameworks, rating models, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and portfolio monitoring.
  7. Represent the Credit Evaluation Department in credit committee discussions and provide professional insights to Management on major corporate exposures.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Credit Evaluation Department or Senior Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Possession of professional credit certifications such as CCE, BCP, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, risk evaluation, or investment banking.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capability, with proven ability to assess complex group structures, consolidated financials, and cross-border exposures.
  • Sound understanding of corporate banking products (RC, TL, BA, BG, TR, project finance, etc.) and risk mitigation tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide balanced judgment between risk and business growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu is advantageous.
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines.
