Senior Manager, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)

Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to lead our engineering projects in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing M&E projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Project Feasibility Studies, develop design proposals, design drawings, tender drawings, and tender documents for building services.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers for effective project collaboration.
• Coordinate with end users for technical support on building services requirements.
• Review and finalize tender drawings, schedule of prices, technical data, and specifications for electrical and mechanical services.
• Provide in-house design, tender drawings, and schedules for building services.
• Coordinate and finalize tender documents with external consultants for building services.
• Evaluate and recommend building services contracts and provide value engineering and design optimization.
• Attend project meetings to manage technical matters, implementation, and variation orders.
• Source contractors for participation in tender bidding.
• Conduct site inspections for QA/QC and ensure progress aligns with construction schedules.
• Attend site evaluations for interim claims and variation orders.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or accredited equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years in Property Development/Construction, Food Industry, M&E Consulting, or related disciplines, with Project Management specialization.
• Preferably Professional Engineer (PE) or approved equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of M&E Design Coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit is a plus).
• Experience in project initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin or Hokkien are an advantage.
