Senior Manager – Security Engineering & Innovation

We are partnering with a leading international financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Manager – Security Engineering & Innovation to join its regional cybersecurity team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven cybersecurity professional who enjoys building solutions, improving security processes and exploring innovative technologies, including AI and automation.

You don't need to be an expert in every area of cybersecurity. We are looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset and the curiosity to explore new technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop security solutions, automation workflows and technical improvements to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to automate security processes, integrate security tools and improve operational efficiency.
• Explore emerging technologies, including AI, cloud security and security automation.
• Conduct proof-of-concept exercises and evaluate new cybersecurity tools and solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security Architecture and Risk teams to address security challenges.
• Support security integration across enterprise technology environments, including CI/CD pipelines where relevant.
• Translate technical ideas and research findings into practical security solutions.
• Work with regional and global stakeholders on cybersecurity improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 5+ years of relevant technical experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, DevSecOps or related disciplines.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, security technologies and enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
• Security Engineering / Security Architecture
• Security Automation / Security Operations Engineering
• Cloud Security (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• DevSecOps / Security Platform Engineering
• Application Security / Infrastructure Security
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in AI, emerging technologies and continuous learning.
