- This position is for Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes.
- Outreach Strategy and Planning
- Together with the Head of Outreach and Events, develop and implement an integrated outreach and events strategy that supports recruitment pipelines across all PGPP programmes.
- Identify key fairs, partnerships, and event opportunities to strengthen SMU's market positioning.
- Align outreach plans with Admissions & Services and Marketing & Recruitment programme and regional priorities.
- Stakeholder and Partner University Coordination
- Serve as the central coordination point across Schools, Programme Offices, and internal departments, ensuring alignment of all outreach initiatives, including Partner University engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with Partner Universities for managing partnership agreements and university outreach activities.
- Engage with faculty, alumni, and current students to secure strong and credible representation at outreach activities.
- Manage relationships with external event organisers, vendors, corporate partners, agents and fair operators to advance recruitment objectives.
- Event Coordination and Execution
- Coordinate the planning, logistics, and execution of all PGPP outreach events, including open houses, info sessions, roadshows, corporate talks, and partner events.
- Ensure brand and service excellence at all event touchpoints.
- Standardise event operations, quality control, and post-event follow-up.
- Lead Management and Performance Reporting
- Track event attendance, engagement outcomes, and conversion metrics.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Sub-Team Leadership and Capability Building
- Lead, mentor and develop a small team of two partnership outreach professionals within the Outreach and Events team, setting clear goals and priorities.
- Build team capability in stakeholder and partnership engagement, event delivery and cross-functional collaboration to support sustained recruitment outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline is required with at least 8 years of relevant experience in stakeholder relationship management, programme and/or events management, preferably in a university or higher education environment.
- Prior exposure to university partnerships coordination and management will be an asset.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of admissions policies, processes, and quality assurance standards in higher education.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and student information systems, with the ability to manage data integrity and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with international higher education markets and university partnerships.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advisory skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospective students, faculty, and other administrators.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail and process efficiency.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling sensitive stakeholder information.
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced and cyclical work environment.
