Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the overall store expansion strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of new store openings across multiple territories.

  • Apply commercial insight and local market intelligence to assess and forecast the potential sales performance of prospective sites before lease commitments.

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and secure high-potential retail spaces and shop lots, with strong understanding of street-level retail leasing dynamics.

  • Conduct comprehensive site viability assessments and provide clear recommendations supported by commercial rationale, market data, and financial analysis.

  • Lead and accelerate the store rollout pipeline to achieve ambitious expansion targets while maintaining strict standards for site quality and profitability.

Requirements

  • 810 years of proven experience in Retail Business Development, Leasing, or Store Expansion within the retail industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully opening and launching multiple retail outlets within a chain retail environment.

  • Extensive experience working with fast-growing retail chains, franchise expansion teams, or convenience store headquarters.

  • Strong ability to evaluate site quality quickly, distinguishing between high-potential and underperforming locations even when market information is limited, while using data to validate and refine site-selection decisions.

  • In-depth knowledge of shop lot leasing processes, including regulatory considerations, zoning requirements, and landlord negotiations.

  • Strong capability to assess ROI and estimate sales potential based on site characteristics, demographics, and competitive landscape.

  • Possesses strong market awareness and field-based insight, with the ability to identify emerging retail opportunities.

  • Solid commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of the balance between rental costs and projected revenue performance.

  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to present and defend strategic recommendations with sound commercial reasoning.
