We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager to act as a co-architect for our Component Supply Planning (CSP) team. This pivotal role is central to shaping the team's future strategy and co-leading key transformation initiatives, including our critical staircase projects. The successful candidate will be a key liaison to other teams within the Global Supply Chain and Repair (GSCR) organization, driving alignment across processes, systems, and tools. A primary focus of this role will be the innovative implementation and adoption of external tools and Artificial Intelligence to revolutionize our supply planning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager will be entrusted with a wide range of duties, including:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of Component Supply Planners located in our EMEA and APAC hubs.
- Lead the development and implementation of collaborative planning processes within the CSP team.
- Set clear operational goals for key performance metrics, driving the team to identify root causes and implement lasting process improvements.
Strategic Initiatives & Transformation:
- Co-lead the evolution of the CSP Buy/Sell model and ensure its seamless integration into the broader Supply Organization.
- Drive the strategic alignment and implementation of the Z2Data platform within key operational workstreams.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the cross-functional GSCR team on major strategic initiatives.
- Co-lead a culture of continuous improvement across all workstreams, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with the Procurement and Global Supply Planning (GSP) teams, as well as Tier 2 suppliers.
- Establish strong functional relationships with selected Zebra Tier 2 suppliers and the Direct Procurement team to operationally resolve component shortages.
- Document, refine, and manage the open market purchasing strategy, process, and approved supplier list to reduce Price Purchase Variance (PPV).
Performance & Reporting:
- Actively participate in the Part Shortage Management (PSM) process and the weekly Supply Assurance call.
- Co-lead the Early Warning process as a proactive tool for shortage mitigation.
- Moderate the Monthly and Quarterly Operational Reviews, presenting key insights and performance data to leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a leadership role within supply chain management, specifically in component or materials planning.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Strong background in leading strategic transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with implementing and leveraging supply chain systems and a keen interest in applying AI to solve business challenges.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to act as a liaison and build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a metrics-driven approach to performance management.
- In-depth knowledge of shortage mitigation strategies, open market purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience in the electronics or a similar high-tech manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline required
- Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience
- Wide, solid breadth in Materials management experience including Purchasing, Planning (Strategic & Tactical) and Manufacturing
- Excellent analytical skills required relative to data mining and process development/improvement
- Strong experience creating and maintaining process
- International Supply chain experience is a must
- Contract Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Direct manufacturing experience in the electronics industry is a plus
- In-depth Oracle experience is preferred
