Division: Information Technology

Department: Technology Ecosystem Maintenance & Support

Location: Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor

Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Technology Ecosystem Maintenance & Support is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all IT infrastructure, hardware, and ecosystem maintenance functions to ensure high system reliability, efficiency, and security across PTP. The role involves leading preventive and corrective maintenance, overseeing project delivery, optimizing asset utilization, and driving continuous improvement in line with technology trends and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Maintenance Management

  • Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure and hardware to ensure optimum performance and availability.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and conduct regular performance monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with defined Mean Time to Recover (MTTR) and availability KPIs.
  • Lead capacity planning and infrastructure optimization efforts.

2. Project Management

  • Evaluate and validate technical solutions and new technology proposals.
  • Manage infrastructure upgrade and implementation projects to ensure delivery within budget, scope, and timeline.
  • Ensure system security and resilience in all project activities.

3. Compliance, Audit & Best Practices

  • Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, updated, and ISO-compliant.
  • Enforce adherence to SOPs, COBIT, and ITIL standards across the department.
  • Support internal and external audit exercises and ensure prompt closure of audit findings.

4. Asset & Vendor Management

  • Oversee IT asset lifecycle management, including inventory control, replacement planning, and disposal.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor spare stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

5. Budget & Cost Management

  • Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of budget utilization and implement cost-saving measures.

6. Policy & Information Security

  • Develop, implement, and review IT and Information Security policies to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Promote compliance with cybersecurity protocols and corporate data governance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
  • Active Directory (2012/2016/2019), DNS/DHCP
  • Microsoft O365 and Clustering
  • VMware and Oracle databases
  • Enterprise network and UNIX server management
  • ITIL framework (certification preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or on shifts when required.
