Role Overview
Our client is seeking a senior, business-focused Manufacturing & Supply Chain Consultant to support a multi-year production process and IT transformation initiative.
The role is focused on defining and driving end-to-end factory ways of working, with particular emphasis on S&OP, production planning and execution, quality integration, warehouse operations, and interfaces with direct material procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end factory operating models, covering:
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Demand and production planning
- Production execution
- Quality integration
- Warehouse and inventory management
- Interfaces with direct material procurement
- Lead S&OP cycles, including demand/supply balancing and scenario discussions
- Translate business requirements into practical, executable ways of working
- Work closely with SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA and MES teams to ensure business processes are correctly supported
Must-Have Requirements
- Senior-level experience in manufacturing or supply chain consulting
- Strong understanding of factory operations and planning
- Hands-on experience with:
- S&OP as a business process or SAP consultant
- Production planning and execution
- Warehouse and inventory operations
- Clear understanding of how direct material procurement impacts production and planning
- Ability to define end-to-end processes, not just optimize individual functions
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience with SAP IBP S&OP (business ownership or key user level)
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA (PP/MM/QM) from a business perspective
- Experience working alongside MES solutions
- Background in process manufacturing
