Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Objectives

1. Carries out conceptual and actual design for machine equipment and conveyor system.
2. Leads and provides training to Junior Design Engineers.
3. Strives to meet set production and quality goals on operation assigned.

Job Responsibilities

1. Produce a quality design to meet internal & external expectations.
2. Explore improvement opportunities and makes proposals for corrective and preventive actions.
3. Prepare all parts drawings, info for user manual and maintain a proper technical recording.
4. Provide guidance to new or junior Design Engineer & help them by providing solution or others technical information.
5. Always provide solutions for projects & arrangement for improvement.
6. Take incharge of the department and to make a right decision on behalf of Section Manager during his absent.
7. Attend to production & customers design related issues & provide commitment on the improvement action.
8. Follow up closely on every single design that been done.
9. Make sure the design output meets the design input.
10. The design must go through a proper review & verification before send out for production, fabrication or purchasing & sourcing.
11. Provide training to the Junior Design Engineer.

Qualification

1. Diploma or Degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Able to handle projects independently.
3. For Senior, Minimum 3 years experience in automation equipment design & troubleshooting
4. Work experience in related field experience.
5. Ability to independently coordinate with customer for machine buy-off schedule.
6. Should possess responsibility and have strong communication and action orientated.
7. Strong experience automation design and CAD software.
8. Familiar with pneumatics and motion controls.
