Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish the process capability and the capacity/productivity model.
- Able to fully define and characterize the designated process, and establish optimum parameter setting.
- Define the PCP and improving critical process capability (as defined in the process control plan, product drawings/ specification and BOM)
- Fully understand the necessary controls, equipment, precautions, setup parameters to meet the product specifications.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process, and implement yield improvement projects.
- Responsible for the process yields of the designated process. Responsible to establish and implement all appropriate actions to improve the yields.
- Responsible to conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies as well as actions to improve both these capabilities. Generate reaction plans for OOC situations
- Assist the manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification and improving operator utilisation and productivity as well as inventory reduction
- Communication skill to communicate and interface well with peers, enhance teamwork
- Emotional intelligence
- Derive Continual Improvement and use of resources
- Yield and UPH Improvement projects.
- Cost saving projects.
- Process documentation.
- Ensure successful transfer of new process from R&D, and pass process and reliability qualification.
- Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
- Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc
Education & Experience
- Bachelor or Master of Science/ Engineering preferably majoring in Electronics, Photonics, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- Preferably majored in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechatronics or Mechanical.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related industry and in mass production environment. Experience working in a fiber optic transceiver manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Good computer literacy especially in SPC related applications.
- Must exhibit a strong sense of data analytical skills with hands on working attitude.
- Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company.
- Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, poka-yoke principles will be an added advantage.
Skills
- Experience in Optical Sub Assembly, alignment process is an advantage.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving.
- Machine hands on.
