Job Title: Senior Murex Developer (MxML Interface)

Job Summary:

The Senior Murex Developer (MxML Interface) will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting MxML Exchange workflows and interfaces within the Murex platform. This role requires strong expertise in MxML messaging, workflow orchestration, interface configuration, debugging, and integration with Front Office, Back Office, and external systems. The developer will work closely with BA, FO/BO teams, and technical leads to ensure robust and scalable interface solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and enhance MxML Exchange workflows and interfaces.
  • Implement complex inbound and outbound integration flows using Murex MxML.
  • Develop transformations, enrichment logic, and message validation rules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve L3-level issues related to MxML processing, workflow routing, and message failures.
  • Work with business analysts and downstream system owners to gather requirements and translate them into MxML technical designs.
  • Optimize MxML performance, message routing, and error-handling mechanisms.
  • Conduct unit testing, SIT, and support UAT for interface-related changes.
  • Participate in version upgrades, environment migration, and regression testing for interface components.
  • Support production incidents and ensure interface stability through robust monitoring and controls.
  • Document interface designs, workflows, mapping specifications, and deployment steps.

  • Required Skills:

  • 6-9 years of hands-on Murex development experience with strong focus on MxML Exchange.
  • Deep knowledge of:
  • o MxML workflows & orchestrations
  • o Message transformation rules and data mapping
  • o Static data and trade workflows impacting interfaces
  • Strong SQL skills on SQL Server 2012 for debugging and data validation.
  • Experience working on Windows Server 2012 environments.
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and FO/BO integration touchpoints.
  • Experience with interface debugging using logs, message replays, and technical trace analysis.
  • Ability to work independently on complex MxML-related enhancements and production fixes.

  • Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Murex FO/BO modules and trade lifecycle.
  • Experience with formats such as XML, XSLT, CSV transformations.
  • Exposure to integration with external systems (e.g., payment systems, trading platforms, market data providers).
  • Understanding of message queuing or middleware technologies (MQ, Kafka, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Datamart, simulation tables, or other Murex development components.
