Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical expert with a strong background in network architecture, security, and troubleshooting, capable of leading critical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.).
- Implement and monitor network security measures to safeguard data, systems, and services.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring of network health.
- Lead incident response and problem resolution for complex network issues.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to integrate hybrid and cloud-native network solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Develop and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in projects and daily operations.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to strengthen network resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role.
- Strong expertise with routing & switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLAN, STP, VXLAN).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and next-gen security solutions.
- Proficiency in SD-WAN, WAN optimization, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC, GCP networking).
- Experience with network monitoring and automation tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Ansible, Python).
- Industry certifications (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent) highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
