Senior Network Security Engineer I IT Security

Job Purposes

• The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for the deployment, administration, and operational support of the enterprise's network security solutions.
• This includes both cloud-based and on-premise systems, such as DDoS protection, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Access Control (NAC), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Email Advanced persistent threat (APT).

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with network security tools; optimize performance and reliability.
• Support and troubleshoot existing network infrastructure, including Anti-DDoS solutions (cloud and on-premise), WAF, NAC, IPS & SWG.
• Deployment, configuration, and optimization of network security systems, including WAF, IPS, NAC, SWG, Anti-DDoS, and Email ATP.
• Participate in 24/7 incident management, detection, and response activities as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 6 years of experience in IT Security related working experience, preferably in Financial Services Industry (FSI).
• At least 6 years of experience in network security engineering, including network security design, analysis, or administration.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in network security, including system design, policy enforcement, and operational management.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching - Cisco switches and routers (including core switching/routing infrastructure)
• Cloud and on-premise Anti-DDoS solutions using BGP routing (preferred)
• NAC solutions – deployment, policy configuration and maintenance (preferred)
• IPS – deployment, configuration, and ongoing tuning (preferred)
• WAF – deployment, fine-tuning, and maintenance (preferred)
• SWG - deployment, policy configuration, and ongoing management to enforce secure internet access, web filtering, malware protection, and SSL inspection (preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams.
