Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Security Engineer based in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Network Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure to protect resources and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring network performance, configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security solutions. The role also requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's overall security objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Network Administration and Network Engineering, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems.
  • Proficiency in Network Security practices and tools, such as firewall configuration, intrusion detection, and threat prevention measures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, risk assessment, and security protocols.
  • Good problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as

Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) ,

  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or CEH are an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise security products such as Fortinet, Sophos, or similar solutions is highly desirable.
