Oversee and ensure effective execution of rooftop solar maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) in line with contractual scope of work, service level agreements (SLA), and compliance to SOPs
Coordinate annual and monthly maintenance planning, aligning manpower, site access, and third-party support schedules
Provide on-site technical leadership in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Guide resolution based on root cause rather than symptoms
Coordinate with Customer Service and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely communication of maintenance outcomes for effective client reporting and service continuity
Review and verify site reports, inspection checklists, photos, and test records submitted by Technicians and Engineers. Ensure proper documentation for internal reference and client reporting
Prepare high-level technical reports for various needs including client requests, compliance, analysis, claims, etc
Oversee inventory planning and availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for ongoing operations; ensure stock readiness to minimize service disruptions and support operational continuity
Ensure proper tracking, escalation, and closure of service tickets within defined SLA timelines, including continuous review of open items and coordination with relevant parties to resolve delays
Plan, lead, and supervise execution of special technical projects (e.g., solar PV dismantling and reinstallation, equipment upgrades, relocations) in coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring scope clarity, schedule adherence, and risk control
Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) standards in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and regulatory best practices
Department Support Roles
Mentor and coach Engineer and Technician to improve technical competencies, task ownership, and work quality. Lead by example in field behaviour and problem-solving approach
Assist in onboarding new field staff, delivering training on safety, standard tasks, and use of checklists or mobile apps. Support cross-division technical sharing if required
Identify recurring issues or workflow inefficiencies. Recommend updates to checklists, SOPs, or job plans based on field feedback and lessons learned
Provide technical input and documentation support for equipment failure investigations, including photo records, test results, and historical data
Participate in high-priority maintenance or rectification works across other divisions/regions upon assignment by HOD
Maintain professional relationships with clients, address operational concerns, and follow up on technical issues with support from the Customer Service and Commercial teams
Act as the regional technical focal point for assigned accounts, building trust through consistent performance and communication
Support technical risk reviews and provide site inputs during pre-project assessments or inter-departmental coordination meetings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
Possess 3 years of experience in project management, construction, or operations & maintenance of rooftop solar PV system
Possess valid CIDB Green Card and Working at Height certification
Advance understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, including design, components, troubleshooting, and compliance with performance and safety standards
Good understanding in Job Method Statement, HIRARC preparation for high risk working environment
Ability to prepare preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, oversee field service teams, and ensure timely, quality execution aligned with SLAs
Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and document maintenance results through accurate technical reports
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for mentoring, client engagement, and inter-departmental collaboration
Proven capability to lead and guide technicians and assistant engineers in daily operations, training, and field discipline
Demonstrates high accountability, professionalism, and readiness to take initiative under limited supervision
Ability to evaluate issues on-site and make appropriate technical and operational decisions with sound judgment and proper escalation when required
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and adherence to regulatory and internal safety standards
