Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA
Duration: 12 months contract

Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of Database Administration on Midrange/Wintel Databases.
- Knowledge on Mainframe Databases will be advantageous.
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline - Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in IT.
- Diploma in IT- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in IT.
- Professional DBMS certification is advantageous.
Competencies:
- Good knowledge on Oracle Database Administration Installation, upgrade, patches
- Database performance tuning.
- Backup & Recovery.
- Automation of monitoring & alerts generation.
- Experience on Disaster Recovery.
- Knowledge on Cluster setup such as Oracle RAC, HACMP, Veritas Cluster and Windows cluster.
- Knowledge on DB replication such as DataGuard, Goldengate & Disks Replication.
- DBMS installation & Upgrades.
- Standard enforcements.
- Capacity Management & Planning.
- SLA management 24X7 availability.
Other Essential requirements are:
- Good interpersonal skills, able to articulate well.
- Self-motivated and self-driven with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work on long hours when required.
- Good communication & customer service skills and the ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Good knowledge in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Process driven approach in day-to-day work and in problem management.
