JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Planner is responsible for supporting organizational planning, coordination, and performance monitoring activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The role involves consolidating planning inputs, tracking progress against approved plans and KPIs, analysing data, and preparing management reports to support informed decision-making. The position also contributes to process improvements, cross-functional coordination, and compliance with internal governance and planning standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Planning & Coordination
- Assist in developing and reviewing short-term and long-term operational or project plans.
- Coordinate planning inputs from departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the preparation of annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
2. Monitoring & Performance Tracking
- Monitor progress of plans, projects, or initiatives against approved timelines and targets.
- Track KPIs, milestones and deliverables, highlight variances or risks.
- Support corrective action planning where deviations occur.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyse and consolidate data for planning and management reporting.
- Prepare regular planning, progress and performance reports for management review.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of planning data.
4.Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Support
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties on planning-related matters.
- Support meetings, presentations and follow-ups related to planning activities.
- Provide guidance to junior executives or planners when required.
5.Process Improvement & Compliance
- Assist in improving planning processes, tools and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure planning activities comply with internal policies, procedures and governance requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and reference purposes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Planning, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in planning, project coordination, corporate planning, PMO, or performance monitoring roles.
- Strong understanding of planning methodologies, KPI tracking, and performance management frameworks.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and consolidation for management reporting and decision-making.
- Proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools, ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to work across departments and manage multiple stakeholders.
