Job Summary:
As a core member of the value creation and portfolio management team based in Malaysia office, the Senior Portfolio Manager works closely with the investment team and senior management to formulate and develop portfolio management strategy and to execute value creation strategies for our portfolio companies across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing, developing and executing exit strategies for portfolio companies, such as secondaries, trade-sale and roll-up M&A
- Collaborate with the investment team to develop value creation strategies for our portfolio companies to maximize return, such as operational improvements, strategic initiatives and add-on acquisitions
- Develop relationship with external advisors and ecosystem partners including financial advisors, strategic investors, VC and PE funds
- Monitor portfolio performance, track key metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management and investors
- Maintain and develop rapport with entrepreneurs and founders of our portfolio companies and assist in organizing value creation events and seminars
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes and economic developments that may impact our investment strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, economics, business administration or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus
- Min 5 years of experience in either (1) portfolio management or investment management for PE/VC fund, (2) corporate development or operation management for corporations or start-ups, or (3) investment banking
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment
