Key Responsibilities
- Propose prices of new items/services in line with charging methodologies and regulatory requirement.
- Review price revisions to existing items/services and assess financial impact of pricing proposals.
- Perform financial analysis and monitor variances. Discover and identify trends and recommend actions to management.
- Assist in obtaining internal and external reference prices.
- Review financial evaluation papers for capital expenditure purchases considering return on investments and internal rate of return.
- Provide information and support to hospitals to assist in decision-making.
- Assist in implementing standardisation of hospital operational data, generate pre and post implementation gross profit margin for hospitals.
- Assist in drafting and implementing corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
- Present results in graphs, charts and tables for data visualisation.
- Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team (i.e. IT, Finance, Nursing, Administration etc).
- Guide and assist Data Management Officer(s).
- Support other works of the team as and when needed.
- Perform any administrative duty as assigned.
- Discuss any departmental problem and suggest solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- With at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics
- For those applying Senior Executive position, minimum 2 years prior experience in finance or pricing with work scope of data management and analytics using large amount of data, revenue management, and generating operational and financial figures
- Prior experience in healthcare industries will be an advantage
- Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis
- Possess financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
- Good project management skills
- Meticulous and structured
- Possess financial and business acumen
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools will be an advantage (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
