Are you a strategic thinker passionate about building resilient, high-performing supply chains We're looking for a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to be the architect of our supplier ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you'll go beyond purchasingyou'll develop partnerships, drive cost intelligence, and ensure quality is built into our products from the ground up. Your Mission:
- Build & Manage a World-Class Supplier Network: From discovery to development, you'll own the end-to-end supplier journey. Conduct rigorous assessments (including trade security), drive performance improvements, and create a tiered partnership strategy to build a robust, reliable supply base.
- Become a Cost & Value Optimization Expert: Dive deep with insightful cost analysis, lead competitive sourcing events, and negotiate strategic agreements that deliver sustainable value and a clear competitive edge.
- Own the Material & Component Roadmap: Lead new material selection and qualification, manage strategic alternates, and build a preferred parts library to standardize quality and streamline design.
- Champion Quality & Performance: Partner closely with Supplier Quality Engineers in a relentless pursuit of excellence. Drive continuous improvement programs and hold suppliers accountable, managing replacements when necessary.
- Master the Market: Conduct proactive supply market research and intelligence to anticipate trends, mitigate risks, and develop forward-thinking procurement strategies that keep us ahead.
- Be the Business Owner for Supply: You are the single point of accountability for key supplier metricsfrom onboarding and commercial negotiations to cost, payment terms, quality, and lead times.
- Fuel Innovation: Be an integral partner to our R&D teams from day one. Enable new product development by ensuring supply chain readiness, feasibility, and optimal sourcing for tomorrow's products.
What You Bring:
- Foundation: A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred. You possess strong core knowledge in procurement, cost management, and supply chain risk. Technical familiarity in Electronics, Mechanical/Structural, or Optical components is key. A grasp of contract law and finance principles rounds out your expertise.
- Skills: You have the technical or professional background to speak the language of engineering and collaborate effectively with R&D. You're a proven pro in strategic sourcing, with sharp skills in project, time, and risk management.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or category management.
