Senior Product Engineer

We're looking to add a Senior Product Engineer in Senai.

As a Senior Product Engineer, You will:

1. BOM-Management: Develop, maintain, and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for both PCBA and box build products. Ensure that all components, materials, and parts are accurately listed, and maintain up-to-date records. Work closely with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure BOMs are complete, accurate, and reflect the latest design revisions.

2. Engineering Change-Management: Lead the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure that any changes to product design, materials, or processes are properly documented and communicated. Coordinate the execution of ECNs, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure all updates are integrated into the production process smoothly.

3. New Product Introduction (NPI): Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from prototype to full production. Ensure that all new products are successfully transitioned through the development, testing, and validation phases. Lead efforts to ensure manufacturing processes are optimized for new products and that all technical and design requirements are met.

4. Customer Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers. Schedule and lead meetings to discuss technical requirements, product specifications, and any changes or improvements to existing designs. Address customer concerns promptly and collaborate with them to resolve any technical issues.

5. Process Optimization: Work closely with the process engineering team to improve manufacturing processes for both PCBA and box build products. Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and overall efficiency improvements.

6. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work with various teams, including Design, program, supply chain, planner, production, and quality control, to ensure smooth transitions from prototype to production. Provide technical expertise to ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet customer expectations.

7. Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all product-related documentation, including NPIs report, BOMs, ECNs, process specifications, and others is accurate, up to date. Provide regular progress reports to management on the status of ongoing projects and product developments.

What skills and experiences are we looking:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial) or equivalent.

Min 2 years of experience in product engineering, particularly in PCBA and box build manufacturing.

Solid knowledge of BOM, PCBA-Design, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques (PCBA and box build).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-610, and other relevant certifications.
