Job Description
Koizumi Lighting Singapore Pte Ltd (KLS) is an established Japanese lighting company and part of the Koizumi Sangyo Group, a diversified Japanese group with a history of more than 300 years. KLS is part of the Group's lighting business.
In Singapore, KLS provides turnkey lighting solutions, from lighting design and product supply to installation and maintenance services. For project-based work, we offer a wide range of lighting products and brands to meet the specific requirements of different projects, covering indoor and outdoor applications across hospitality,commercial, retail, public-sector and other projects. We also provide lighting controls and smart lighting solutions, supporting both functional and architectural lighting requirements.
Our projects involve close collaboration with architects, lighting designers, interior designers,engineers, and other industry professionals. We also serve selected markets across the region through our international distribution network, working with partners and distributors in various markets.
The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor project progress from award to successful completion.
- Monitor project schedules, progress, quality, and budgets.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers,and internal departments.
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and project coordination meetings.
- Coordinate material deliveries, installation works, and project documentation.
- Prepare progress claims, variation order (VO) quotations, and project close-out documentation.
- Ensure project works are carried out in compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and Company safety procedures.
- Promote safe work practices and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment.
Tendering & Costing
- Prepare tenders, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Source and compare products, pricing, and suppliers.
- Prepare technical submissions, compliance documents and value-engineering proposals.
Technical Support
- Provide technical advice and recommend suitable lighting solutions.
- Assist in resolving technical, operational, and site-related issues.
- Source and compare products, pricing, and suppliers.
- Provide technical support during project implementation and the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
General Duties
- Support the Project Manager in project-related tasks.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience in lighting, electrical, M&E or building projects will be an advantage
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Well-organised, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of Workplace Safety& Health (WSH), with possession of the required WSH certifications for site work.
Training on products, project management, and industry practices will be provided
