We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join Alcom Dach&Wand, a specialist company under ALCOM Group Berhad providing roofing, façade, and building envelope solutions for industrial, commercial, and architectural projects. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing project execution from planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, on schedule, and in full compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of all projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality workmanship.
- Assign the Person-In-Charge (Project Manager / Engineer / Supervisor) for each project.
- Supervise subordinates work and provide coverage when required.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all necessary activities to achieve project objectives.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the most competitive pricing for project execution
- Coordinate with the Contract Department on contractual matters, including project schedules, variation orders, extensions of time, and loss and expense claims.
- Evaluate progress claims submitted by subcontractors and forward them to the Contract Department for processing.
- Organize internal project meetings to ensure coordination and progress monitoring.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, construction teams, and subcontractors.
- Assist the Contract Department in obtaining progress certificates from the main contractor or client.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and assist in collection efforts.
- Attend tender negotiations, management, project, and technical meetings as required.
- Support the Contract Department in finalizing final accounts for both main and subcontracts.
Requirements
- Candidate must at least possess a Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in project management, construction, or engineering.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and execution abilities.
- Sound technical knowledge in construction or engineering practices.
- Proficient in contract administration and cost control.
