About The Role

The Senior Public Relations Executive is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the organization's public relations and reputation management initiatives. This role focuses on strategic engagement with government ministries, regulators, media organizations, and key stakeholders, while ensuring consistent, credible, and positive public messaging. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's image, strengthening public trust, and supporting corporate positioning at national and industry levels.

What You Will Do

Public Relations Strategy & Reputation Management

  • Support and implement public relations strategies aligned with the organization's corporate objectives and communication goals.
  • Safeguard and enhance the organization's reputation through proactive media engagement and issues management.
  • Monitor public sentiment, media coverage, and emerging issues that may impact the organization.
  • Prepare response strategies, key messages, and official statements for sensitive or high impact matters.

Government, Ministerial & Regulatory Engagement

  • Manage official communications and correspondence with ministries, government agencies, regulators, and statutory bodies.
  • Draft formal letters, briefing notes, speeches, talking points, and scripts for senior management and ministerial engagements.
  • Coordinate protocol, messaging, and documentation for meetings, visits, and official events involving ministers, dignitaries, and government representatives.
  • Ensure all communications comply with government protocols, policies, and corporate
  • governance standards.

Media Relations, advertising & Press Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison with media organizations, journalists, and broadcasters (e.g. Media Prima and other major outlets).
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, media statements, and press kits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and media coverage for corporate announcements and events.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media monitoring reports and analysis for management review.

Stakeholder Engagement & Corporate Relations

  • Support engagement with strategic partners, industry players, corporate stakeholders, and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare communication materials and briefing documents for stakeholder meetings and engagements.
  • Assist in managing relationships with subsidiaries and affiliates to ensure consistent corporate messaging.

Event & Protocol Communication Support

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile corporate and government-related events, including official launches, awareness programmes, official visits, and ceremonial functions.
  • Develop and implement integrated communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging, brand alignment, and stakeholder engagement across all events.
  • Prepare and manage comprehensive event communication materials, including invitation letters, event programmes, briefing notes, speeches, scripts, talking points, and media content.
  • Manage media, protocol, and communication arrangements for events involving ministers, senior government officials, regulators, VIP stakeholders, and government representatives, ensuring adherence to established protocol standards.
  • Coordinate all pre-event, onsite, and post-event communications, including media engagement, press materials preparation, media coverage monitoring, event documentation, and post-event reporting.
  • Liaise closely with internal teams, vendors, and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of event communications and overall programme delivery.
