We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to be responsible for end-to-end purchasing activities from sourcing and price negotiation to managing supplier records and delivery follow-ups. You'll coordinate with internal teams to maintain healthy inventory levels, ensure timely deliveries, and support documentation for audits.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform sourcing based on the request, together with the price comparison and negotiation.
- Understand the part drawing and technical specification for parts purchase.
- Follow up delivery date and quantity, work with requestor on the mitigation plan if there is any delay in delivery.
- Maintain updated records of all orders, delivery information until good received.
- Register and update supplier record, maintain purchasing info record.
- Perform proper filling, and support teammate for necessary administration work.
- Work with finance team on contracts, invoicing, payment status and other related matters.
- Continuous monitor production usage and inventory level, make necessary arrangement to ensure stocks keeping at healthy inventory level.
- Constantly review MOQ, to ensure no overstock or over purchase.
- Work with supplier on the improvement plan, continue monitor to ensure consistency.
- Continuous monitor market price, ensure all purchases are at competitive price.
- Work with cross functional team on cost saving & continue improvement project.
- Assist on yearly vendor evaluation.
- Ensure proper document control for audit purposes, including accurate filing, updating, and retrieval of records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Supply chain / logistics, Business Administration or similar relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in related filled.
- Experienced in MRO purchase (indirect spend related to maintenance, repair and operations) and direct material purchase (packing and additives).
- Experience with SAP systems will be an advantage.
- High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skill.
- Provided leadership and guidance to subordinates by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, coaching team members, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
