Job Description
Objective
To lead and strengthen quality assurance activities by ensuring product and process compliance with customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee product, process and material quality to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Develop and review inspection plans, sampling plans, control plans and test methods.
- Support NPI, process changes and engineering changes from a quality perspective.
- Conduct and support PFMEA, process risk assessments and process capability studies including Cp/Cpk.
- Oversee incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.
- Ensure proper traceability, documentation and control of quality records.
- Lead customer complaints, returns, deviations and quality escalations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and manage 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto and other problem-solving activities.
- Monitor quality KPIs including PPM, defects, scrap, rework and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, variation and quality-related costs.
- Manage supplier quality performance, including supplier audits and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, Planning, Supply Chain and Sales on quality-related matters.
- Lead and support internal, customer and external certification audits.
- Conduct process audits and layered process inspections to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Review and approve quality reports, inspection results and certificates of conformity.
- Control and verify measurement and inspection equipment.
- Mentor and develop QA Engineers, QC Technicians and QC Inspectors.
- Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Act as the QA focal point for customer, certification and regulatory audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Mechanical, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Strong experience in customer quality, complaint handling, CAPA and 8D problem solving.
- Good knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, PFMEA, 5-Why, Fishbone and other quality tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and GD&T.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of quality documentation and QMS software is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and lead cross-functional quality initiatives.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising QA/QC teams.
