Senior Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a banking technology team, responsible for testing and automating critical web, API, and mobile banking applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, BDD automation, and mobile application testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain UI, API, and mobile automation frameworks.
• Develop automated test scenarios using Java, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, or equivalent BDD frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks and test libraries.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Test mobile applications across iOS and Android, including different devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Investigate test failures and defects, perform root-cause analysis, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and business stakeholders to define test coverage.
• Contribute to QA strategy, automation standards, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience, with strong hands-on automation experience.
• Strong Java and Selenium WebDriver experience.
• Proven experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, or another BDD automation framework.
• Mandatory hands-on mobile application testing experience across iOS and/or Android.
• Experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium is highly preferred.
• Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks, not just executing existing scripts.
• Strong API testing experience with REST/SOAP and tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of SQL/database testing.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing, and defect management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
