About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to support IT and technology hiring across Southeast Asia, especially Malaysia and Singapore.
This role will manage sourcing, screening, candidate engagement, interview coordination, and recruitment updates for technical, project-based, and client-facing roles. The consultant will work closely with hiring managers, business stakeholders, and regional internal teams to support recruitment delivery across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing and screening for IT roles across Malaysia, Singapore, and other SEA markets.
- Understand hiring requirements and translate them into clear candidate search criteria.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, databases, and professional networks.
- Screen candidates based on technical skills, experience, salary expectation, availability, communication ability, and market fit.
- Recruit for roles such as software engineers, QA/test engineers, cloud engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity specialists, business analysts, project managers, presales consultants, and solution architects.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring, urgent, or niche hiring needs.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate follow-ups, feedback collection, and recruitment status updates.
- Provide market insights on talent availability, salary expectations, notice periods, and hiring challenges.
- Support offer coordination, salary negotiation, notice period clarification, and joining follow-up.
- Maintain accurate recruitment tracking, candidate records, and hiring progress updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IT recruitment experience, preferably supporting Southeast Asia hiring.
- Experience recruiting for Malaysia, Singapore, or other SEA markets.
- Familiar with IT roles, technical skill requirements, and common technology hiring profiles.
- Hands-on sourcing experience using LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, and candidate databases.
- Strong English communication skills for candidate and stakeholder engagement.
- Able to coordinate effectively with regional and cross-border internal stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple hiring requirements at the same time.
- Strong follow-up discipline, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in IT consulting, outsourcing, staffing, RPO, system integration, or managed services environments.
- Experience hiring niche IT roles such as cybersecurity, cloud, network, QA automation, data, AI, presales, or solution architect roles.
- Familiarity with salary benchmarks, notice periods, and candidate expectations in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Experience preparing candidate summaries, recruitment reports, and market mapping updates.
