About Our Client
Our client is an international cross-border payments company looking to establish its presence in Singapore. As part of its market entry, the business is seeking a senior regulatory and licensing professional to lead its payments licensing journey and help establish the regulatory foundations for its Singapore operations.
Job Description
- Lead the end-to-end payment services licence application process, working closely with senior management, external advisers and the regulator.
- Review, challenge and enhance key application materials, including business plans, AML/CFT policies, risk management frameworks and governance arrangements to ensure regulatory readiness.
- Act as a senior regulatory representative for the business, managing key discussions, application queries and engagements with the regulator throughout the licensing process.
- Advise senior management on licensing strategy, regulatory expectations, governance requirements and operational readiness as the company establishes its Singapore presence.
The Successful Applicant
- Significant senior Compliance, Regulatory or Legal & Compliance experience within payments, fintech or cross-border payments.
- Proven hands-on experience successfully leading or materially contributing to a Singapore payment services licence application.
- Strong knowledge of the Payment Services Act, AML/CFT requirements and direct experience engaging with the regulator on licensing or supervisory matters.
- Experience working effectively with regional stakeholders across diverse markets and functions.
