Senior Research Fellow - Media & Communication Studies

JOB PURPOSE

The role of Senior Research Fellow is mainly to supervise/co-supervise theses for the research programme, namely Doctor of Philosophy (Media & Communication Studies). Apart from that, they are also expected to assist with supervision of research projects in the Master of Communication programme. The supervisors preferably should be able to supervise broad range of media studies and/or communication studies.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervising up to 12 students for 3 days in a week.

• Publish up to three indexed publication as part of the outcome of supervised work.

• Mentor and support in applying for education-related research grants.

• Provide networking opportunities in promoting the school.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in Media and Communication Studies or related disciplines.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

• 15-20 years relevant work experience in Media and Communication Studies.

• Track record of graduating students on time enrolled for master/PhD by research programmes.
