About the Role & Team
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Revenue Accountant to join our global finance team in Malaysia.
You will support revenue accounting for the APAC region including China, Japan, Singapore, and India ensuring consistent application of US GAAP (ASC 606) globally. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multinational environment, collaborate with teams across Finance, Sales Operations, and Systems, and contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
- Perform monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue reporting.
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606 standards and company policies, including contract review and performance obligation assessment.
- Assist in analyzing and validating revenue-related transactions and supporting documentation.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Systems teams to ensure accurate contract setup and maintenance.
- Support audit requests and provide technical accounting documentation.
- Assist with implementing standardized revenue processes and tools across APAC entities.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue reporting.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 24 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to revenue accounting or contract accounting.
- Understanding of ASC 606 and its practical application.
- Experience in multinational or shared service environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a proficiency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Sun Systems ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Salesforce) is a plus.
- Experience in a multinational or technology company environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a global team setting.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is preferred to facilitate communication with regional stakeholders and support cross-border collaboration.
- Hybrid/On-Site opportunity, must be able to travel to local office 2-3 days per week.
