Your Mission

The role of the Senior Robotics Software Engineer is to spearhead the development and implementation of advanced software solutions for our robotics systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior Robotics Software Engineer ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and efficient robotic solutions. By leveraging expertise in robotics, software engineering, and system integration, they drive innovation and stay abreast of industry trends to enhance robotic software capabilities.

In addition to technical leadership, the Senior Robotics Software Engineer also engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, ensure alignment with strategic objectives, and facilitate informed decision-making regarding robotic technologies. Furthermore, the Senior Robotics Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in establishing and enforcing software development best practices, standards, and processes to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.

Overall, the Senior Robotics Software Engineer is instrumental in advancing the state-of-the-art in robotic software, driving innovation, and delivering impactful solutions that the company is developing to revolutionize the oil palm industry.

Your Role

Collaborate with engineers to develop hardware and software prototypes for robotic systems.
Research and test new ideas to enhance robotics technology.
Continuously learn about relevant topics for the job.
Assist stakeholders and initiate engagement with them.
Lead efforts to integrate hardware and software in robotics projects.
Explore emerging technologies in robotics and software engineering.
Own the development lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
Stay updated on advancements in robotics and related fields.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and facilitate meetings.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Familiarity with electronic circuitry, computer programming, and Robot Operating System (desirable).
4+ years working experience as a part of robotics software engineer function.
Previous experience designing robotics system, integration of electronics, software, and mechanical system.
Hands-on experience programming and field testing a robotic system.
Demonstrable knowledge in integrating various sub-components into a larger software system.
Advanced proficiency in software programming, especially Python and/or C++.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to extract insights from complex systems.
Experience with robotics-related framework (e.g., Robot Operating System, Ardupilot, etc).
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
