Senior Safety and Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations, including security guards, CCTV, access control systems, gate pass procedures, and incident investigations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, workplace inspections, and HIRARC risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian safety and environmental regulations, including DOSH and DOE requirements.
• Manage scheduled waste records, E-SWIS updates, environmental monitoring, and EHS documentation.
• Coordinate safety training, emergency response exercises, fire drills, and employee awareness programs.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on inspections, regulatory submissions, business licenses, and certifications.
• Support ISO-related activities and continuous improvement initiatives in workplace safety and environmental management.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in safety, security, and compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good knowledge of HIRARC, EHS risk management, and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
• Experience in physical security management, incident investigations, and environmental compliance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and emergency response skills.
• SHO (Green Book), Yellow Book, NEBOSH, or IOSH certification will be an added advantage.
• Good command of English and the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
