The Senior Security Consultant serves as the lead for vulnerability management projects, overseeing solution implementation for customers while mentoring the team to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
Role Description
- Primary technical project lead to implement security solutions to customers.
- Oversees the delivery of projects for our customers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, project scope, and timelines.
- Manage and mentor a team of security professionals, providing guidance on project tasks, performance management, and professional development.
- Work closely with customers in deployment and implementation of security solutions and provide advisory services on solution capabilities, architecture, and implementation plans.
- Drive support services to meet customer SLAs.
- Ensuring adherence to security practices and policies in handling of customer data in projects and support services.
- Act as one of the escalation point of contact for technical support related to cyber security solutions.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert in solution architecture, providing insights on use cases for these technologies and integration into customer's environment.
- Derive and drive continuous improvement plans to uplift capabilities and operational efficiencies.
- Educate and mentor other engineers on security best practices and standards, lead by example.
- Contribute to enhancing the organization's security solutions expertise and overall cybersecurity knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a System Integrator (SI), technology consulting organization, or end-user IT operations environment.
- Certifications in vulnerability management solutions across domains such as cloud and identity exposure.
- Proficiency in APIs and integrations with other enterprise solutions.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks or regulatory requirements, especially in vulnerability management framework.
- Proven leadership skills, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- A continuous learning attitude with a desire to develop skills in cybersecurity and stay updated on emerging technologies and solutions.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, with strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
