Senior Security Engineer

Overview

Our client is looking for a well-rounded Senior Security Engineer who combines strong hands-on security engineering expertise with consulting and advisory capabilities. This individual will be responsible for conducting security assessments, designing and implementing security solutions, and working closely with customers and stakeholders to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

What The Client Is Looking For

Must-Have Experience

• At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience in areas such as:
• Security Engineering
• Security Consulting
• Security Assessments
• Security Implementation
• Cybersecurity Advisory Services
  
• Strong background in identifying security risks, conducting gap assessments, and recommending remediation plans.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
• Experience engaging customers, stakeholders, or business teams in a consulting or project delivery capacity.
• Good understanding of cloud security concepts and modern cybersecurity technologies.
  
  

Technical Skills

Candidates should have practical experience in several of the following areas:

• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
• SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)
• Zero Trust Security
• Endpoint Security
• Network Security
• Cloud Security
• Vulnerability Management
• Security Governance
  
  

The ideal candidate can translate technical security findings into practical business recommendations and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Cato Cloud or similar SASE solutions.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as:
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• CIS Controls
• ISO 27001
  
• Knowledge of:
• Firewalls
• VPN Technologies
• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365 Security
• Cloud Infrastructure & Connectivity
  
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, CySA+, GIAC, AWS Security, Azure Security, or Microsoft Security certifications.
• Experience working with Japan stakeholders and familiarity with Japan business culture would be an advantage, but is not required.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments and identify security risks, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, evaluate, and implement cybersecurity solutions across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity environments.
• Support proof-of-concept activities, technical workshops, vendor evaluations, and customer discussions.
• Prepare assessment reports, project documentation, presentations, and technical recommendations.
• Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver security projects successfully.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
