Key Responsibilities
Shipping Operations:
- Handle inbound and outbound shipments, including courier tracking and updates.
- Plan and coordinate import/export shipments via sea and air freight.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and ensure timely submission.
- Order and coordinate packing materials (e.g., wooden crates) based on shipment specifications.
- Track outbound shipments and maintain accurate tracking sheets.
- Monitor delivery timelines and resolve delays or issues proactively.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and issue delivery orders, invoices, shipping marks, and other related documents.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import duties, sales tax, and relevant authorities (e.g., MIDA, CJP2).
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is audit-ready.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide shipment updates and resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline shipping processes and reduce costs.
- Support logistics projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in shipping or logistics operations.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and LC documentation.
- Understanding of customs procedures, import/export duties, and local regulatory bodies.
