Job Summary:

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Backend Development to lead the design, development, and optimization of digital banking systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in Java and Spring Boot, along with the ability to guide development teams, ensure best practices, and support critical system enhancements within enterprise banking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical SME for backend systems within digital banking platforms
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
• Review code, architecture, and system designs to ensure best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders
• Support complex issue resolution and perform root cause analysis
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Ensure compliance with banking standards, security, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical roadmap planning

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (mandatory)
• Solid experience with backend system design and development
• Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments (HPUX, Linux, Solaris)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Experience in handling complex production issues and L3-level support
• Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and design patterns

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Apache Camel (CXF) for integrations
• Experience with Spring Batch and JSP
• Knowledge of Unix scripting and WebLogic Server
• Exposure to JavaScript and frontend integration concepts
• Experience in Digital Banking or Financial Services domain
