Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain efficient, robust software for new and existing metrology systems
• Translate customer needs into software requirements
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Quickly analyze and resolve issues reported by internal and external customers
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
• Understand metrology tool platforms and technologies from a systems perspective
• Demonstrate effective communication skills within a diverse team
  
  

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques and applications
• Experience working with local Large Language Models (LLMs), on-premises AI solutions, or edge AI deployments
• Strong programming and software engineering skills
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, numerical methods, and analytical problem-solving
• Experience developing software for scientific, engineering, or data-intensive applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Experience developing software in C++
• Experience with numerical analysis, scientific computing, and mathematical modeling
• Experience developing algorithms for complex engineering or metrology application
