Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software/Applications Engineer to develop, enhance and support software applications for a mission-critical systems project. You will work with technical teams to deliver reliable, secure and maintainable applications in a structured IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using languages such as Java, C++, Python or Node.js.
Support application deployment in cloud-native, virtualised or containerised environments.
Implement automated testing, code management and CI/CD practices.
Ensure applications meet security, reliability and performance requirements.
Support software validation, troubleshooting and integration activities.
Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
5-10 years of relevant software development experience.
Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages.
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX or Windows environments, CI/CD, GitOps and infrastructure as code.
Experience with cloud-native applications, ETL or data-stream processing is advantageous.
Experience in regulated, aviation, aerospace, defence or other mission-critical environments is an advantage.
