Senior Software Test Engineer

Primary Objectives

Collaborate with Test Manager, Test Lead, Business User to ensure smooth testing delivery

Ensure test coverage includes functional and non-functional requirements.

Maintain test documentation and ensure traceability to requirements.

Execute manual and/or automated tests to validate software functionality.

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA.

Manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.

Manage team of Testers on Test Deliverables.

Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to quality assurance best practices.

Qualifications

At least 4 - 9 years of working experience in Banking/Financial Institution environment including 3 years in a senior tester position and possesses business acumen and test planning abilities

At least 5-8 years of experience in leading large IT program teams in Enterprise Systems related domains in testing areas

Has experience to lead and manage a team of Testers

Has experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques and testing tools for functional and non-functional

Testing certification preferred but not mandatory

Mandatory knowledge onJira and Confluence

Familiar with STLC

Expected to be available to work extended hours, when necessary, to support critical delivery timelines and ensure timely completion of project deliverables

Job Description

Participate in test planning and provide inputs

Validation of functional specification to test scenario / cases traceability

Ensure incorporation of non-functional requirements implicit or explicit

Carry out day to day testing activities per direction from the IT PM, Business PM, Test Manager, Test Lead

Participate in test planning, test script creation, test data preparation and test execution

Build and retain knowledge of testing group and releases over time

Ensure accurate and timely logging of defects in JIRA with up-to-date information of defects, relevant logs, and screen shots required for investigation

Track and closure of defects in JIRA

Provide guidance to project team to use JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr as bank's test management tool

Minimally to involved in at least 2-3 projects at 1 time

Manage/Test at least 2-3 projects at 1 time
