CMDB ANALYST

Key Activities

• CMDB Data Quality ControlDesign implement and continuously monitor controls to ensure the quality completeness accuracy and consistency of CI data and relationships within the ServiceNow CMDB


• CMDB Health Monitoring AnalysisConduct regular monitoring and analysis of CMDB health performance and data integrity to proactively identify discrepancies inconsistencies and areas for improvement


• CMDB Design OptimizationContribute to the continuous evolution and optimization of the CMDB data model schema and integration processes in collaboration with the CMDB Product Owner and CMDBITOM Architect


• CMDB Governance StandardsAdvise on and ensure adherence to ServiceNow and ITIL best practices for configuration management contributing to the establishment and enforcement of CMDB governance standards


• CMDB Documentation ManagementOwn the creation maintenance and update of comprehensive CMDB documentation including data models process flows technical standards and guidelines


• Data Request Management ValidationReview and process requests for data insertion or modification within the CMDB ensuring strict adherence to established data integrity rules and processes


• CMDB Expertise GuidanceAct as a subject matter expert for CMDB data structure and quality providing internal guidance and support to relevant IT teams on CMDB usage and best practices

Main Responsabilities

• Ensure the overall integrity accuracy and operational efficiency of the ServiceNow CMDBas a critical source of truth for IT assets and services focusing on data quality and control


• Design implement and monitor robust data quality controls and processeswithin the CMDB to ensure the completeness accuracy and consistency of Configuration Items CIs and their relationships


• Be responsible for the creation maintenance and update of comprehensive CMDB documentation including data models processes standards and guidelines ensuring its accuracy and accessibility


• Perform regular monitoring and analysis of CMDB health and performance identifying discrepancies inconsistencies and areas for improvement to maintain a reliable and uptodate repository


• Act as a subject matter expert for CMDB data structure and quality providing internal guidance and support to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices

Required Skills Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field


• Proven experience with ServiceNow platform specifically the CMDB module and its capabilities CMDB Health Discovery Common Service Data Model CSDM


• Solid understanding of ITIL principles particularly Configuration Management Service Asset and Configuration Management SACM


• Experience in data modeling data governance and data quality management for largescale IT environments


• Familiarity with IT infrastructure components servers networks cloud services applications and how they are represented and related within a CMDB


• Knowledge of data integration patterns and tools


• Demonstrated strong capability in designing data models workflows and formalizing comprehensive documentation related to CMDB


• Besthave ITIL v4 certified
