About The Role
We are hiring for
Senior Specialist, Corporate & Commercial Recovery at RHB Group Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of impaired corporate and commercial loans, driving effective recovery strategies, and safeguarding the Bank's position. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate restructuring options, execute recovery plans, and ensure timely resolution of distressed accounts.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage a portfolio of impaired corporate and commercial loans, developing and implementing comprehensive recovery strategies
- Negotiate and structure viable repayment plans, settlements, and restructuring solutions with impaired customers
- Evaluate customer proposals, settlement requests, and work-out schemes to determine optimal recovery outcomes
- Monitor and ensure timely implementation of approved restructuring and recovery plans
- Oversee the performance of rehabilitated accounts and manage exit strategies for non-impaired accounts
- Collaborate with customers, solicitors, valuers, insurers, auditors, financial advisors, and other relevant stakeholders
- Initiate and manage legal proceedings, including litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure where necessary
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and provide timely updates and reports to management on recovery progress
- Conduct impairment assessments in line with MFRS139 and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in corporate or commercial banking, credit recovery, or restructuring
- Proven ability to manage impaired loan portfolios and execute effective recovery strategies
- Sound knowledge of credit risk management, restructuring frameworks, and legal recovery processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Good understanding of regulatory and accounting standards, including MFRS139
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Driven and results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
