In a global management consultancy like Roland Berger, the Finance & Controlling (F&C) function offers exciting challenges. We are currently ramping up our F&C holding team in Kuala Lumpur to support our global operations with unique capabilities.

As (Senior) Specialist for Project Portfolio Controlling in Kuala Lumpur, you will proactively contribute to the commercial success of our consulting projects through monitoring the financial performance of projects within our portfolio and deriving actions for improvement. In doing so, you will closely collaborate on with project and delivery managers, project controllers, and the accounting, controlling, tax, and treasury teams in our holding in an exciting international environment.

This role requires profound professional experience in commercial project controlling, ideally within professional services, paired with strong analytical skills, a results-oriented way of working, and sound technical know-how (SAP ByD, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel).

• Assess and continuously monitor the financial performance of consulting projects with a specific functional, industry, or geographical scope
• Prepare project portfolio reports, derive recommendations, and share results with the F&C senior management in the Holding as well as functional, industry, or country leads
• Develop in-depth understanding of the characteristics of our consulting projects in a certain functional area, industry, or region
• Act as a sparrings partner and competent point of contact for local project controllers, delivery managers, and project managers of the projects within the defined scope
• Contribute actively to inter-disciplinary projects for our global F&C function

• At least Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in commercial project controlling in an international environment, ideally in the professional services industry
• Analytical and results-oriented working style, strong implementation skills and a distinct understanding of numbers
• Good communication and teamworking skills
• Business fluent English skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the MS Office suite and, ideally, SAP ByD
