Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Drive the implementation of secure configurations, patches, and updates across cybersecurity platforms to maintain a hardened and resilient infrastructure.
- Lead the integration of cybersecurity tools across the IT and OT environments, ensuring compatibility, proper data flow, and alignment with enterprise security strategies.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of cybersecurity tools to support evolving business and security needs.
- Design and implement robust automation workflows and scripts to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency of cybersecurity platforms. Act as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution. Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with security analysts, incident responders, and IT/OT teams to ensure cybersecurity platforms align with operational and strategic objectives. Act as a subject matter expert in discussions related to platform capabilities and improvements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem by evaluating and implementing new tools, technologies, and processes to address emerging challenges and risks.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of configurations, integrations, troubleshooting steps, and processes. Share expertise by mentoring junior team members and contributing to team knowledge bases.
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and optimizing cybersecurity tools and platforms, with a proven ability to handle complex enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux-based or Windows-based systems, including advanced system administration and troubleshooting expertise.
- Strong experience with a wide range of cybersecurity tools such as Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Endpoint Protection Platforms(EPP), AV solutions, or intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS).
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible to streamline platform operations and workflows. Solid understanding of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing scalable platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, incident response, risk management, and system hardening practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve highly complex platform-specific issues efficiently, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, international teams, act as a mentor to junior colleagues, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent English language skills in both peaking and writing are required.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as GIAC certifications or other platform-specific credentials, are highly valued.
