Senior Supplier Quality Manager

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay Singapore, Inc. is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Supplier Quality Manager. The Senior Global Quality Supplier and External Supply Manager is responsible for leading and executing the global quality strategy across Supplier and Partner manufacturing sites Globally. With a primary focus on automotive OEM and Tier 1 clients - ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, strengthens customer relationships, and safeguarding product integrity across the external Supplier and Manufacturing operations.

The position partners closely with Supply Chain – also in Singapore, with interfaces to Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure quality performance meets or exceeds customer expectations while supporting business growth and operational excellence

Job Location: Singapore

What you will be doing:

Customer & Automotive Quality Leadership

o Support Divisions in auditing external manufacturing sites to insure workplans deliver industry specific and Customer specific requirements to enable business growth.

§ Customer audits, quality reviews, and escalation management.

§ Ensure compliance with automotive-specific standards including IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements (CSR).

o Oversee resolution of customer complaints using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, root cause analysis).

o Create a Vishay Dashboard and Drive continuous improvement in CCAR - PPM performance, warranty reduction, and customer scorecards.

Global Quality Systems & Compliance

o Lead global implementation and governance of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

§ Responsibility for the Supplier and External Supply Company data card

§ Lead the interface and deployment of QMS processes used to manage external Suppliers and Partners.

o Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC requirements.

o Oversee external audit programs across global sites.

o Drive standardization of quality processes across regions.

Operational Quality & Continuous Improvement

o Partner with Division leadership to improve first-pass yield, scrap reduction, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).

o Implement preventive quality strategies and risk mitigation plans.

o Lead cross-functional corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.

o Champion Change management and ensure all Vishay deliverables are in place for each change – and communicated properly.

Supplier Quality Management

o Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams Globally –

§ To identify top 5 suppliers for each site

§ To ensure audit plans are executed regionally by and for other sites

§ Develop a shared site for audit results

§ Lead meetings to resolve and close issues.

o Manage supplier-related quality escalations impacting automotive customers.

Leadership & Team Development

o Lead and develop Supplier quality auditors to ensure up to date certifications

o Develop global audit plans for Suppliers and Partners

o Build global quality capability through training and succession planning.

o Foster a culture of accountability, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

What will you bring along:

o Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline (Master's preferred).

o 10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in automotive manufacturing.

o Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).

o Experience managing global customer relationships within automotive OEM or Tier 1 environments.

o Proven track record of improving customer PPM, audit scores, and operational quality metrics.

o Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred).

o Ability to travel overseas as and when required.
