Senior System Engineer (IT Infrastructure & End-User Support)

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer infrastructure services such as Active Directory, group policy, backup and restoration.
• Contributing to the design, implementation, and enhancement of server setups (physical & virtual) and configurations.
• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Manage and optimize VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, SAN Storage and HCI platforms.
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with network & application teams for integrated infrastructure support.
• Develop and implement DR and business continuity plans.
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and HCI technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Possess additional IT certifications such as MCSE, ITIL Foundation, Cisco would be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications will be an advantage, such as: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Nutanix Certified Professional
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Knowledge of cloud integration (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
