Job Description

Joining Razer will place you on a global mission to revolutionize the way the world games. Razer is a place to do great work, offering you the opportunity to make an impact globally while working across a global team located across 5 continents. Razer is also a great place to work, providing you the unique, gamer-centric #LifeAtRazer experience that will put you in an accelerated growth, both personally and professionally.

Job Responsibilities :

We are looking for a highly driven Tax Senior to join our team based in our Malaysia office. This compliance-focused role will be part of the Global Tax Team which reports to the Tax Manager at Razer Malaysia. You will be responsible for managing direct and indirect tax compliance and strategic tax planning, with a focus on driving tax initiatives across Razer Services Business Units (Razer Gold and FIUU).

In this role, you will collaborate with the Management Team based globally and engage with various cross-functional teams to implement global tax strategies. You thrive in an autonomous environment, enjoy problem-solving, and have a proven ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-growth organisation.

As Razer continues to expand its operations across multiple jurisdictions, the complexity and volume of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory needs have significantly increased. This includes managing both direct and indirect taxes, supporting regional audits, and ensuring proper implementation of transfer pricing and intercompany policies aligned with local tax laws. Additionally, the rollout of new countries and evolving business models (e.g., e-invoicing in Malaysia, intercompany payment flows, and platform expansion) require timely and accurate tax input for strategic tax planning.

The Tax Senior will serve as a key liaison between the tax team, business units, and local finance teams, helping to embed tax considerations early in decision-making processes. This role is essential to maintaining tax compliance, reducing financial exposure, and ensuring the scalability of the tax function as the business grows.
  • Prepare and/or review corporate income tax and indirect tax filings.

  • Prepare and/or review tax provisions and perform reconciliation in tax expense accounts and deferred tax accounts.

  • Prepare and review withholding tax positions and payment documentation.

  • Assist in preparing Transfer Pricing documentation.

  • Proactively monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, update compliance processes accordingly.

  • Manage tax audits and liaise with external tax advisors and tax authorities across the region.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders / multi-functional teams within the company as well as external tax advisors to support tax strategy execution.

  • Provide tax input for project rollouts and assess tax implications of various business transactions.

  • Perform research and analysis on transactions and maintain documented tax technical advice and update the relevant stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Support integration of tax requirements into business operations and system implementations.
