Job Description
Reponsibilities
- Manage test development department and resources in Malaysia.
- Support Manufacturing with focus to reduction of cost of testing processes.
- Provide OSA & Module Test Development Support to R&D and all Coherent Manufacturing and Development sites worldwide.
- Formulate test approaches (hardware and software).
- Lead projects to implement new software and hardware solutions for testing.
- Maintenance of existing software in manufacturing.
- Drive implementation of test requests from internal customers (R&D, quality, manufacturing).
- Organize test development resources for production support, new development.
- Define procedures for characterization and qualification of test methodologies.
- Clarify reasons for yield and test time problems of Coherent products/sub assemblies.
- Develop new solutions and automation to improve operations productivity.
Requirements
- PhD/Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and/or Computer Science/Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in test engineering, including management position.
- Detailed understanding of fiber optic transceiver and its electronic circuits, including high speed principles.
- Well versed in software programming : OOP, XML, .NET, Instrumentation.
- Experienced in Project Management and has Test maintenance experience/ exposure.
- Exposed to Quality Assurance tools ie SPC, GR&R.
